Frayed Knot is our fleet's annual regatta (sailing competition).  Our prime location, bordering 3 Hobie divisions will draw lots of competitors. This is the 3rd annual Frayed Knot and is a premiere regatta in the midwest. Check out the 2008 results.2009 results.

Accommodations are available at the Best Western of Lawrence.  Pool/hot tub/free breakfast and on the main highway out to Clinton Lake.  Call 785-843-9100 Reserve early!

Camping or RV sites are available at Hickory Campground this year. It has a walking path to the beach launch site. The beach path is on the right side of this site map. Powered sites are at the top of the page and non powered sites are at the bottom. Sites 112, 113, 114, 135, 136, or 137 will give you your own lake access for boats 600 yards from the south end of Bloomington Beach (regatta site). Make reservations early because these spots fill up early.

If you are a novice racing Hobie 16s the B Fleet (the fun fleet) is available for those new to racing or those with older boat/sails.  A rules clinic will be held right after the Skipper's meeting Saturday morning.

Saturday night will be out on the town in Lawrence Kansas, beginning with dinner and ending up...wherever the winds take us.
